Happy New Year! – A Couple of Parting Thoughts

I’m off today and tomorrow, cooking for about 20 of my kids’ friends who are celebrating New Year’s at the Halbert compound. But that doesn’t stop me from speed-reading several dozen news stories each day on a variety of topics. While I’m not in the office, here are two stories that I found especially interesting. Read and decide for yourself.

Obama Trashes The Constitution In 2014

While Republicans enjoyed a big victory in the 2014 mid-term elections, I question whether or not they learned anything. I fear not.

The Next Euro Crisis – January Fireworks In Greece

On December 29, the Greek parliament failed to elect a president, forcing an early special election to be held on January 25. A far-left candidate appears to be the favorite and threatens to exit the euro. Thus, the Eurozone is facing a new, highly dangerous phase and once again Greece finds itself at the epicenter. What else is new?

This will be a big issue in 2015, and I will have more to say on this and other issues as they develop.

Thanks for your continued confidence. As always, your comments and suggestions are welcomed.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
